General

Pursuant to Article 13 of the Swiss Federal Constitution and the federal data protection provisions (Data Protection Act, DSG), every person has the right to protection of their privacy and to protection against misuse of their personal data. The operators of this website take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with statutory data protection regulations as well as this Privacy Policy.

In cooperation with our hosting providers, we strive to protect our databases as effectively as possible against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

Please note that data transmission over the Internet (e.g., when communicating via email) may be subject to security vulnerabilities. It is not possible to completely protect data from access by third parties.

By using this website, you consent to the collection, processing, and use of data as described below. In general, this website can be visited without registration. Data such as pages accessed, names of files accessed, and the date and time are stored on the server for statistical purposes without being directly linked to you personally. To the extent that personal data (such as name, address, or email addresses) is collected on our pages, this is always done on a voluntary basis whenever possible. This data will not be disclosed to third parties without your express consent.

Processing of Personal Data

Personal data refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual. A data subject is a person whose personal data is being processed. Processing encompasses any handling of personal data, regardless of the means or methods used, including, in particular, the storage, disclosure, collection, erasure, retention, modification, destruction, and use of personal data.

We process personal data in accordance with Swiss data protection law. To the extent that the EU GDPR applies, we also process personal data on the following legal bases in conjunction with Art. 6(1) GDPR:
(a) Processing of personal data with the consent of the data subject.
lit. b) Processing of personal data to fulfill a contract with the data subject and to carry out related pre-contractual measures.
lit. c) Processing of personal data to fulfill a legal obligation to which we are subject under applicable EU law or under the applicable law of a country in which the GDPR is fully or partially applicable.
lit. d) Processing of personal data to protect the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person.
lit. f) Processing of personal data to protect our legitimate interests or those of third parties, unless the fundamental freedoms, rights, and interests of the data subject take precedence. Legitimate interests include, in particular, our business interest in being able to provide our website, information security, the enforcement of our own legal claims, and compliance with Swiss law.

We process personal data for the period necessary to fulfill the respective purpose or purposes. In cases where longer-term retention obligations arise from legal and other obligations to which we are subject, we restrict processing accordingly.

Cookies

This website uses cookies. These are small text files that allow specific, user-related information to be stored on the user’s device while the user is using the website. In particular, cookies enable us to determine the frequency of use and the number of users of the pages, analyze patterns of website usage, and make our offerings more user-friendly. Cookies remain stored beyond the end of a browser session and can be retrieved when you visit the site again. If you do not wish this to happen, you should configure your internet browser to refuse cookies.

A general objection to the use of cookies for online marketing purposes can be submitted for a wide range of services—particularly regarding tracking—via the U.S. website http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU website http://www.youronlinechoices.com/. Additionally, you can prevent cookies from being stored by disabling them in your browser settings. Please note that in this case, not all features of this website will be available.

With SSL/TLS Encryption

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as inquiries you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser’s address bar changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock icon in your browser’s address bar.

When SSL or TLS encryption is enabled, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Server Log Files

The provider of this website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These include:
Browser type and browser version
Operating system used
Referrer URL
Hostname of the accessing computer
Time of the server request

This data cannot be associated with specific individuals. This data is not combined with other data sources. We reserve the right to review this data at a later date if we become aware of specific indications of unlawful use.

Third-Party Services

This website may use Google Maps to embed maps, Google Invisible reCAPTCHA to protect against bots and spam, and YouTube to embed videos.

These services provided by the U.S.-based Google LLC use, among other things, cookies, which result in data being transferred to Google in the United States; however, we assume that, in this context, no personal tracking takes place solely through the use of our website.

Google has committed to ensuring adequate data protection in accordance with the U.S.-European and U.S.-Swiss Privacy Shield frameworks.

For more information, please see Google’s Privacy Policy.

If you submit inquiries to us via the contact form, the information you provide in the form—including the contact details you enter there—will be stored by us for the purpose of processing your inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We will not share this data without your consent.

Newsletter

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we need your email address as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the provided email address and that you consent to receiving the newsletter. No other data is collected. We use this data exclusively to send the requested information and do not share it with third parties.
Once you have given your consent to the storage of your data and email address, as well as their use for sending the newsletter, you may revoke this consent at any time, for example via the “unsubscribe link” in the newsletter.

Storage of IP Addresses

Our comment feature stores the IP addresses of users who submit comments. Since we do not review comments on our site before they are published, we need this data to be able to take action against the author in the event of legal violations such as insults or propaganda.

Every data subject affected by the processing of personal data has the right to receive, at any time and free of charge, information from the operator of this website regarding the data stored about them, as well as a copy of this information. In addition, information may be provided, where applicable, regarding the following: the purposes of the processing; the categories of personal data being processed; the recipients to whom the personal data has been or will be disclosed; and, where possible, the planned duration of storage of the personal data or, if this is not possible, the criteria used to determine that duration; the existence of a right to rectification or erasure of the personal data concerning them, or to restriction of processing by the controller, or a right to object to such processing; the existence of a right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; if the personal data were not collected from the data subject: all available information regarding the origin of the data.
In addition, the data subject has the right to be informed whether personal data has been transferred to a third country or to an international organization. If this is the case, the data subject also has the right to obtain information about the appropriate safeguards in connection with the transfer.
If you wish to exercise this right of access, you may contact our Data Protection Officer at any time.

Right to Rectification

Any data subject affected by the processing of personal data has the right to request the immediate rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning them. Furthermore, the data subject has the right to request that incomplete personal data be completed—including by means of a supplementary statement—taking into account the purposes of the processing.
If you wish to exercise this right to rectification, you may contact our Data Protection Officer at any time.

Right to Erasure

Any data subject affected by the processing of personal data has the right to request from the controller of this website the immediate erasure of personal data concerning them, provided that one of the following grounds applies and the processing is no longer necessary:
The personal data was collected or otherwise processed for purposes for which it is no longer necessary.
The data subject withdraws the consent on which the processing was based, and there is no other legal basis for the processing
The data subject objects to the processing for reasons arising from their particular situation, and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for the processing, or the data subject objects to the processing in the case of direct marketing and related profiling
The personal data has been processed unlawfully
The erasure of the personal data is necessary to comply with a legal obligation under Union law or the law of the Member States to which the controller is subject
The personal data was collected in connection with information society services offered that are directed specifically at a child
If any of the above grounds apply and you wish to request the erasure of personal data stored by the operator of this website, you may contact our Data Protection Officer at any time. The Data Protection Officer of this website will ensure that the erasure request is complied with without delay.

Right to Restriction of Processing

Any data subject affected by the processing of personal data has the right to request that the data controller of this website restrict processing if any of the following conditions are met: The data subject disputes the accuracy of the personal data, for a period enabling the data controller to verify the accuracy of the personal data

The processing is unlawful, the data subject objects to the erasure of the personal data, and instead requests the restriction of the use of the personal data

The data controller no longer needs the personal data for the purposes of processing, but the data subject needs it to assert legal claims; The data subject has objected to the processing for reasons arising from their particular situation, and it has not yet been determined whether the legitimate interests of the data controller outweigh those of the data subject.

If any of the above conditions apply, you may contact our Data Protection Officer at any time to request that the operator of this website restrict the processing of your personal data. The Data Protection Officer for this website will arrange for the processing to be restricted.

Right to Data Portability

Every data subject affected by the processing of personal data has the right to receive the personal data concerning them in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format. In addition, the data subject has the right to have the personal data transmitted directly from one controller to another controller, provided that this is technically feasible and does not infringe upon the rights and freedoms of others.
To exercise your right to data portability, you may contact the data protection officer designated by the operator of this website at any time.
Right to Object

Any data subject affected by the processing of personal data has the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to their particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning them.

In the event of an objection, the operator of this website will no longer process the personal data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override the interests, rights, and freedoms of the data subject, or the processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
To exercise your right to object, you may contact this website’s data protection officer directly.

Right to Withdraw Consent Under Data Protection Law

Any data subject affected by the processing of personal data has the right to withdraw consent to the processing of personal data at any time.
If you wish to exercise your right to withdraw consent, you may contact our Data Protection Officer at any time.

Google Maps

This website uses Google Maps. This allows us to display interactive maps directly on the website and enables you to conveniently use the map feature. When you visit the website, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding page of our website. This occurs regardless of whether you are logged in to a Google account or do not have a Google account.

If you are logged in to Google, your data will be directly associated with your account. If you do not wish for your data to be associated with your Google profile, you must log out before clicking the button. Google stores your data as usage profiles and uses them for advertising, market research, and/or to tailor its website to your needs.

Such analysis is conducted in particular (even for users who are not signed in) to deliver targeted advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website.

You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles; to exercise this right, you must contact Google. For more information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by Google, as well as further information on your rights in this regard and privacy settings, please visit: www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy.

Google Ads

This website uses Google Conversion Tracking. If you arrived at our website via an ad served by Google, Google Ads will place a cookie on your computer. The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on an ad served by Google.

These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages on our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to that page.

Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. Therefore, cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of Ads customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for Ads customers who have opted in to conversion tracking. Customers are informed of the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.

If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can refuse to allow the cookie required for this purpose to be set—for example, by using a browser setting that generally disables the automatic setting of cookies, or by configuring your browser to block cookies from the domain “googleleadservices.com.”

Please note that you must not delete the opt-out cookies as long as you do not want measurement data to be collected. If you have deleted all your cookies in your browser, you must set the respective opt-out cookie again.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited. If the party responsible for data processing on this website is located outside the European Economic Area or Switzerland, data processing by Google Analytics is carried out by Google LLC. Google LLC and Google Ireland Limited are hereinafter referred to as “Google.”

The statistics collected enable us to improve our offerings and make them more interesting for you as a user. This website also uses Google Analytics for cross-device analysis of visitor traffic, which is carried out via a user ID. If you have a Google account, you can disable cross-device analysis of your usage in the settings there under “My Data” > “Personal Data.”

The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not combined with other data held by Google. Please note that Google Analytics on this website has been extended to include the code “_anonymizeIp();” to ensure the anonymized collection of IP addresses. This means that IP addresses are processed in a truncated form so that they cannot be linked to a specific individual. If the data collected about you can be attributed to a specific person, this association is immediately ruled out and the personal data is deleted without delay.

Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the United States and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services related to website and internet usage to the website operator. For the exceptional cases in which personal data is transferred to the United States, Google has complied with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.

Google Analytics uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the United States. You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser settings accordingly; however, please note that in this case, you may not be able to use all features of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: Disable Google Analytics.

In addition, you can also prevent the use of Google Analytics by clicking this link: Disable Google Analytics. This will store a so-called opt-out cookie on your device, which prevents the processing of personal data by Google Analytics. Please note that deleting all cookies on your device will also delete these opt-out cookies; this means you will need to set the opt-out cookies again if you wish to continue preventing this form of data collection. The opt-out cookies are set per browser and per computer or device and must therefore be enabled separately for each browser, computer, or other device.

Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense on this website. This is an advertising program provided by Google Inc. In Europe, Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) is responsible for all Google services. Google AdSense enables us to display ads on this website that are relevant to our content.

Google AdSense uses cookies to display ads that are relevant to users, to improve campaign performance reports, or to prevent a user from seeing the same ads multiple times. Using a cookie ID, Google tracks which ads are displayed in which browser and can thus prevent them from being shown multiple times. In addition, Google AdSense may use cookie IDs to track so-called conversions associated with ad views.

This is the case, for example, when a user sees a Google Ads ad and later visits the advertiser’s website using the same browser and makes a purchase there. According to Google, Google Ads cookies do not contain any personal information.

Through the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to Google’s server.

By integrating Google Ads, Google receives information that you have visited the relevant section of our website or clicked on one of our ads. If you are registered with a Google service, Google can associate the visit with your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or are not logged in, it is possible that Google may obtain and store your IP address.

You can prevent participation in this tracking process in several ways:

  • by adjusting your browser settings accordingly; in particular, disabling third-party cookies will prevent you from receiving third-party ads;
  • by disabling conversion tracking cookies by configuring your browser to block cookies from the domains “www.googleadservices.com” and https://adssettings.google.com; note that this setting will be reset when you clear your cookies;
  • by disabling interest-based advertising from providers participating in the “About Ads” self-regulatory campaign via the link https://www.aboutads.info/choices; please note that this setting will be reset when you clear your cookies;
  • by permanently disabling it in your Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Google Chrome browsers via the link https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin.
  • Please note that in this case, you may not be able to fully use all features of this service.

The legal basis for the processing of your data is a balancing of interests, according to which there are no overriding interests on your part that would preclude the processing of your personal data as described above (Art. 6(1), sentence 1, lit. f GDPR). For more information about Google Ads from Google, please visit https://ads.google.com/intl/de_DE/home/, and for general information on data protection at Google, please visit https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy. Alternatively, you can visit the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) website at https://www.networkadvertising.org.

Google Tag Manager

Google Tag Manager is a solution that allows us to manage so-called website tags via an interface and thus, for example, integrate Google Analytics and other Google marketing services into our online offering. Tag Manager itself, which implements the tags, does not process any of users’ personal data. Regarding the processing of users’ personal data, please refer to the following information about Google services. Terms of Use: https://www.google.com/intl/de/tagmanager/use-policy.html.

When you visit our pages that contain Facebook plugins, a connection is established between your browser and Facebook’s servers. In the process, data is already transmitted to Facebook. If you have a Facebook account, this data may be linked to it. If you do not want this data to be linked to your Facebook account, please log out of Facebook before visiting our site. Interactions, particularly the use of a comment feature or clicking a “Like” or “Share” button, are also forwarded to Facebook. You can learn more about this at https://de-de.facebook.com/about/privacy.

This website uses features provided by Twitter, Inc., 1355 Market St, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA. When you visit our pages that include Twitter plug-ins, a connection is established between your browser and Twitter’s servers. In the process, data is already transmitted to Twitter. If you have a Twitter account, this data may be linked to it. If you do not want this data to be linked to your Twitter account, please log out of Twitter before visiting our site. Interactions, particularly clicking a “Retweet” button, are also forwarded to Twitter. You can learn more at https://twitter.com/privacy.

LinkedIn

Within our online offering, we use the marketing services of the social network LinkedIn, operated by LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland (“LinkedIn”).

These services use cookies—text files stored on your computer—which enable us to analyze your use of the website. This allows us, for example, to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and display products to users that they have previously shown interest in.
For example, information is collected about your operating system, browser, the previously visited website (referrer URL), the web pages you visited, the offers you clicked on, and the date and time of your visit to our website.

The information generated by the cookie regarding your use of this website is transmitted in pseudonymous form to a LinkedIn server in the United States and stored there. LinkedIn does not store the name or email address of the individual user. Rather, the aforementioned data is assigned only to the person for whom the cookie was created. This does not apply if the user has permitted LinkedIn to process the data without pseudonymization or has a LinkedIn account.

You can refuse the use of cookies by adjusting your browser settings accordingly; however, please note that you may then be unable to use all features of this website. You can also object to the use of your data directly with LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/guest-controls/retargeting-opt-out.

We use LinkedIn Analytics to analyze and regularly improve the use of our website. The statistics we collect enable us to enhance our offerings and make them more interesting for you as a user. All LinkedIn companies have adopted the Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure that data transfers to the U.S. and Singapore—which are necessary for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the services—are carried out lawfully. When we ask users for consent, the legal basis for processing is Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. Otherwise, the legal basis for the use of LinkedIn Analytics is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

Third-party provider information: LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland; Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

In addition, we use external payment service providers based on our legitimate interests under the Swiss Data Protection Ordinance and, where necessary, pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the EU GDPR, in order to offer our users effective and secure payment options.

The data processed by the payment service providers includes, among other things, personal information such as name and address; banking information such as account numbers or credit card numbers; passwords, TANs, and checksums; as well as information related to contracts, transaction amounts, and recipients. Online Store / Web Store

We process our customers’ data in accordance with the federal data protection regulations (Data Protection Act, DSG) and the EU GDPR as part of the ordering process in our online store to enable them to select and order the products and services of their choice, as well as to facilitate payment, delivery, and fulfillment.

The data processed includes master data (customer records), communication data, contract data, and payment data; the individuals affected by this processing include our customers, prospective customers, and other business partners. The processing is carried out for the purpose of providing contractual services in connection with the operation of an online store, billing, delivery, and customer service. In this context, we use session cookies—for example, to store the contents of the shopping cart—and persistent cookies—for example, to store the login status.

Processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) (execution of order processes) and (c) (legally required archiving) of the GDPR. The data marked as required is necessary for the establishment and performance of the contract. We disclose data to third parties only in connection with delivery, payment, or as permitted or required by law. Data is processed in third countries only if this is necessary for the performance of the contract (e.g., at the customer’s request for delivery or payment).

Users may optionally create a user account, which allows them, in particular, to view their orders. During the registration process, users are informed of the required mandatory information. User accounts are not public and cannot be indexed by search engines, such as Google.

If users have canceled their user account, their data related to the user account will be deleted, unless its retention is required for commercial or tax law reasons in accordance with Art. 6(1)(c) of the GDPR. Information in the customer account is retained until it is deleted and subsequently archived in the event of a legal obligation. It is the users’ responsibility to save their data in the event of termination prior to the end of the contract.

As part of registration, re-registration, and the use of our online services, we store the IP address and the time of the respective user action. This storage is based on our legitimate interests, as well as those of the users, in protecting against misuse and other unauthorized use. This data is generally not disclosed to third parties, unless such disclosure is necessary to pursue our claims or there is a legal obligation to do so pursuant to Art. 6(1)(c) of the GDPR.

The data is deleted upon the expiration of statutory warranty obligations and comparable obligations; the necessity of retaining the data is reviewed at irregular intervals. In the case of statutory archiving obligations, the data is deleted upon their expiration.

Data Transfer to the U.S.

Our website incorporates tools from companies based in the U.S., among other things. When these tools are active, your personal data may be transferred to the U.S. servers of the respective companies.

Please note that the U.S. is not a “safe third country” within the meaning of EU data protection law. U.S. companies are required to disclose personal data to law enforcement agencies without you, as the data subject, having any legal recourse against such disclosure.

It therefore cannot be ruled out that U.S. authorities (e.g., intelligence agencies) may process, analyze, and permanently store your data located on U.S. servers for surveillance purposes. We have no control over these processing activities.
